  • Merilynn Sue Cyrus, 68, wife of Michael Drury Cyrus, of Ladson, South Carolina passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, South Carolina.

  • Merilynn was born on July 16, 1945 in Ironton, Ohio, a daughter of Carl Henry Berger and Evelyn Hart Berger. She was a homemaker. She was the loving wife of Michael Drury Cyrus of Ladson, South Carolina; and the beloved mother of Michael Duane Cyrus of Ladson, South Carolina and Melynda Sue Orcutt (Michael) of San Jose, California.
  • She also leaves behind one brother, Carl Walter Berger, of Ironton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Adam Pipes, Lorynn Cyrus, Jonathan Orcutt, Pearson Orcutt; two foster children, Carl Ellis and Valerie White, and 24 additional foster children.
  • Visitation for her family and friends was held at Parks Funeral Home on Thursday evening between 6 and 8 o'clock.
  • Funeral services were held at Parks Funeral Home on Friday morning, December 6, 2013 at 11 o'clock followed by a private burial.
  • R.I.P.
